The Upper School sees our girls develop their strengths to become truly ‘independent learners'. Our English and Mathematics lessons prepare girls for success at 11+ through a balance of academic rigour and creativity. We teach the girls to "work hard and play hard", and find fulfilment through creative endeavour.
Our teaching is planned to address the needs of each girl. Upper School pupils are taught more frequently by specialist teachers - including lessons in Drama, French, Music, Dance and Spanish (Year Six) - but retain a close link with their form tutor.
All girls in Year Six have the opportunity to become prefects. We hold an annual 'Head Girl' election, where the pupils chose which girl best personifies our values.
