Ubiquitous Access to Technology: Technology can make possible new models of engaged and powerful learning
Falcons Girls intends to weave technology into the girls’ learning, both in school and out of school, leveraging it for learning, thinking, creating, researching and publishing; in short, for their daily work of developing critical 21st century skills. The Falcons School for Girls believes that Web 2.0 and new technologies are transforming the way we learn. We intend to be in the vanguard of IT implementation in the independent sector, raising aspirations and performance throughout all classes and subject areas. We are developing global ‘flat classroom' projects - collaborative lessons that use Web 2.0 technologies such as podcasts, blogs and digital video - to help every girls learn the key twenty-first century skills of communication, collaboration and creation.

The Falcons curriculum will support active, authentic and engaged learning, leveraging technology innovations to allow pupils to communicate and collaborate with pupils across the world. The Falcons Girls curriculum aims to support children’s curiosity and stimulate their creativity.
Learning Styles: Falcons Teachers adapt their delivery of the curriculum to meet the learning needs of every pupil
The Falcons teachers apply the best of modern pedagogical theory – including the application of V.A.K. and Gardner’s multiple intelligence theories – to ensure that all girls are able to access the Falcons curriculum. Direct experience is at the centre of the curriculum so that teachers draw out and develop children’s thinking and capacities in meaningful contexts. Knowledge, skills and understanding are expressed in a range of different media and ways, often making effective use of the creative arts.
Informative Assessments: Falcons assessments must facilitate individual and group learning and empower students to gauge their own progress
We believe all key stakeholders have a right to know (i) how an individual pupil is progressing and (ii) what that pupil needs to do next to raise their attainment.
