We offer the government universal 15 hour funding, which provides funding for a nursery education place for up for 15 hours per week to all 3 and 4 year olds and the 30 hours entitlement for working parents as an additional 15 hours funding for those who qualify (To check please visit https://www.gov.uk/apply-30-hours-free-tax-free-childcare). Children are eligible for the funding from the term after they turn three. The child’s 3rd birthday needs to occur on or before March 31, August 31 and December 31 to be eligible for the funding from the following term.
The funding provided does not cover the total cost of placing a child in our nursery school, therefore we charge an additional hours and services package. The additional services charge is due to the cost of: providing qualified staff of a high calibre; maintaining a smaller teacher to child ratio; the provision of peripatetic staff to deliver extra-curricular activities including music, drama, ICT, art and Forest School classes as well as providing hot lunches, snacks and other consumables. The funded hours are offered between 8.30am and 3.30pm each day.
