We attach great importance to charitable giving at Falcons School for Girls and feel it vital that our girls are fully involved in choosing the charities we support and in sharing ideas for fundraising. When children are educated about charity, they learn to be considerate of others, to be careful of what they have and to show compassion.
Our girls are keen to support charities based in the local area and we have formed strong links with FISH-the neighbourhood care service supporting the elderly in Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen, the Wandsworth and Putney Food banks and St Mungo’s charity. We also celebrate harvest at an annual special assembly for which our families donate a wide range of foods to the local food banks.
Our school works closely with the NSPCC-the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Our Student Committee of girls in Year 1 to Year 6 organises an annual fundraising event in the summer term in aid of the NSPCC.
